Buses

Go Bus (contracted to the Ministry of Education) operates two runs, as follows:

North Bus route

Mornings: 0805 start at 1357 Mākirikiri Road. 0810 left onto Union Line; right into Wanganui Road; left onto Fern Flats Road; turn around; left onto Wanganui Road; 0820 right into Williamsons Line; right into Mākirikiri Road. 0825 Arrive at South Mākirikiri School.

Afternoons: 1430 start at South Mākirikiri School. 1435 left into Mākirikiri Road up to #1357; turn around and return. 1440 left into Union Line. 1445 Right into Wanganui Road if required to Cornfoots Road and turn around; left into Wanganui Road. 1450 left into Fern Flat Road; turn around; left into Wanganui Road; right into Williamsons Line; turn around; right into Wanganui Road. 1500 right into Blackwell Street, right into Morris Street, right into Pukepapa Road; left into Wanganui Road. 1510 left into Williamsons Line; right into Mākirikiri Road.

Santoft Bus route 

Mornings: 0750 depart parking at South Mākirikiri School; left into Union Line; right into Santoft Road, right into Beamish Road. 0810 turn around at 233 Beamish Road; left into Santoft Road; right into State Highway 3; left into Neumans Line; left into Mākirikiri Road. 0825 stop at South Mākirikiri School.

Afternoons: 1435 depart South Mākirikiri School; left into Union Line; left into State Highway 3; right Santoft Road; right into Beamish Road. 1455 turn around at 233 Beamish Road; return to South Mākirikiri School; left into Santoft Road; left into Union Line; right into Mākirikiri Road. 1510 Right into Mākirikiri Road.

NB: These routes may change during the school year. Please confirm with our principal, Greg Allan, if your child qualifies to travel on the school bus.

Marton Cabs also offer a service for students travelling between Marton and local schools.  Please contact Jill on 027 646 422 for more information. NB: This service is independent of South Mākirikiri School.
