Swimming Sports, Room 6,7 and 1 Request for information please.

We really want to enable parents to be able to come along and support their children participate in swimming sports. To do this we need to know how many people are able to attend and will probably attend. The pool is limited to 100 people and with our 73 students and up to 6 staff have approximately 20 spaces for parents.

We are looking at changing some of the formats to swim races in age groups at set times to enable parents to attend and then finish with our water safety relay races with all students in together in a closed setting. This is to enable parents to come for some parts of the swimming sports. If we don’t have more than 20 parents wanting to attend we can continue with our full plan for the sports.

Obviously, there are some of the swimming pools guidelines and we want parents to attend but have parameters that we need to follow.

Marton Pools expectations:
Our requirements for entering the pools are people need to be wearing a mask, sign/scan, and need to socially distance and sanitize on entry.

We realize a mask exemption is a legitimate thing but if we are at 100 people in the facility social distancing is more difficult and we would appreciate that all those spectators attending wear masks while entering and moving around the facility.

Please indicate if you are likely to attend. From this information, we will see if we need to adjust our plans.

Curriculum consultation, we would love more feedback. Please click the link to complete.

Kia ora,

This survey is to help our school localise & formulate the part of our curriculum that involves Science, Social Science, Health and parts of Technology & the Arts. We want to identify the content and ideas that are both important for our students’ future, as well as reflective of the interests, values and aspirations of our students, parents and wider community.

We still highly value Literacy & Maths of course, and these are certainly key parts of our local curriculum. However this survey is purely to determine what is important for us to teach in the other areas of the New Zealand Curriculum, so our cross-curricular programme can sit alongside what we do in Literacy & Maths.

Please consider the suggested ideas at the top of each box, and consider how important you feel it is for your child to learn about that while at our school. Rate each idea using the 1-5 scale below:

HOW IMPORTANT DO I THINK IT IS FOR MY CHILD TO BE LEARNING THIS?
