Just a reminder also that 7th August is the last round for our Years 1 & 2 and 3 & 4. The game times for the Yr 3 & 4 have been changed so we can have a thank you sausage sizzle and wind up for these grades on that day at 12.30.

Year 5 – 8 Hockey Development Program

The proposed plan is to run a program for Kiwi and Kwik Sticks levels.

1. 2 x skills sessions on Friday 27th August & Friday 10th September 5.30-7.30pm for players (5.00-8.00pm for coaches)

Note this is a change from the plan put forward at the last Committee meeting. There has been some comment that Friday nights may be better than using up 4-5 weekends.

2. 2 x Festival Days (9.00-4.30pm) on Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th September and Saturday 25th or Sunday 26th September. One will be a Rangitikei teams festival, the other will potentially have Ruahine-Dannevirke and Wanganui teams participating (depending on our numbers).

Can we please have expressions of interest for this by Friday.

Winter Cricket Holiday Programme

Over the Term 2 school holidays MCA are running Primary School Holiday Programmes that we would love to see as many schools kids at as possible!

We would love for you to put some information into your school newsletters, emails, notices, etc… Anyway you can promote the programme would be fantastic! Here is a little information about the programme below.

The July Holiday Programme is a taster of Cricket and is open to all – from beginner to brilliant. This is a taster of Cricket skills, with the focus on fun with your friends and heaps of action and activity. It’s a mix of catching and cooking, bowling and bombing, and batting and boxing!

The dates are as follows:

Years 4-6 Boys: Tuesday 20th July 9am-3pm

Years 4-6 Girls: Wednesday 21st July 9am-3pm

Years 7-8 Boys: Tuesday 13th-Wednesday 14th July 9am-3pm BOTH days

Years 7-8 Girls: Thursday 22nd-Friday 23rd Julry 9am-3pm BOTH days
